About LayCocks

No1 Choice in Christchurch

Laycocks belongs to several industry associations, and as a result of many years of excellent service, have attained a high status within these associations.

What this means, is that you can be assured the work we do for you is of the highest quality, undertaken by I-CAR-trained staff. You will receive top quality repairs and service, and your damaged vehicle will be returned to pre-accident condition using the manufacturer's specifications.

Laycock’s Collision Repairs has led the way in the panel beating industry in Christchurch for nearly 90 years. The company first opened its doors in 1924 and has proved to be an enduring and successful business, building up a large and loyal customer base.

Laycock’s was situated in Durham Street from 1937 until recently. During this period, throughout all the advances in technology and the changes in the panel beating industry that have occurred over time, Laycock’s made a name for themselves and demonstrated that they are one of the best collision repairers in Christchurch.

The Durham Street building was severely damaged in the February 2011 earthquake and the business was forced from this site. This event resulted in the Laycock’s building being demolished, and the urgent necessity to find new premises as soon as possible.

This was achieved within record time, and Laycock’s has been trading from its new site in Sockburn since March 2011. The workshop is a little smaller, but it is the same fantastically talented team, working hard to ensure that Laycock’s customers, both old and new, still receive the top quality repairs and service on which Laycock’s has built their reputation.
